VACB offers a 3-month Pre-Professional Intensive leading to a student earning a “Certification of Completion” from the Vassiliev Academy of Classical Ballet. In addition, students may study as Private Year-Round Students and via our Summer Intensive Courses. The accepted age range for our students is 14 to 25 years of age.
Range & Depth
VACB challenges students to achieve their very best, and provide opportunities for students to develop their full potential as dance artists. As a result, students of the academy receive intense training in preparation for competitions held throughout the United States and Europe, as well as to receive contract offers to ballet companies.
VACB, under the direction of Mr. Vassiliev, along with his extensive knowledge and decades of experience, has developed a teaching curriculum, focusing on Vaganova, Balanchine, and English styles of ballet techniques. The diversity of ballet techniques that Mr. Vassiliev implores as a teacher enables students to easily adapt to repertoires and companies in America and Europe.
Career Preparation
Additionally, the Academy provides “transition assistance” by producing CV’s, Photos, Videos, Audition Preparation and Guidance for students applying to ballet companies. Mr. Vassiliev uses his world-wide network and affiliations to assist students in obtaining the best opportunities for auditioning and employment.
