NYC Summer Intensive 2017

June 26 - July 21, 2017

This four-week program will provide intermediate students the opportunity to improve skills and develop strength in ballet.

Additionally, this program is designed to give young dancers a more profound understanding of ballet, as an art form.

 

Classes and workshops operate 25-30 hours a week from Monday – Friday and function to push students to their limit.

Mr. Vassiliev, along with internationally renowned guest faculty will guide students and expand their knowledge.

 

Students will be exposed to the highest level of training, which will help them to get closer to their goals. The curriculum includes: ballet technique, pointe, variations, pas de deux classes, modern, character dance, repertory and more.

While the primary focus of Vassiliev Academy’s training remains in the classroom, The Vassiliev Academy of Classical Ballet is involved in several activities that provide students with the opportunity to transfer their skills to performance.

​

The purpose of the program is to provide students with experiences which will help ease their transition from student to professional dancers, build confidence, and increase stage experience.

 

The experience of rehearsing and performing for audiences at any age enables students to develop confidence and stage manners, which will be essential to their future professional careers.
